We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Residential Youth Counselor to play a crucial role in positively influencing the lives of young individuals. In this position, you will mentor and assist at-risk youth, offering them the support and guidance necessary for their growth in a residential environment. Your dedication to creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere will significantly contribute to the brighter futures of the residents in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor youth, demonstrating appropriate behavior and managing crises effectively.
- Implement social and recreational activities, actively involving residents in programming.
- Provide care and psychosocial education according to each individual’s treatment plan.
- Deliver direct services, including daily living skills, meal preparation, hygiene practices, and recreational activities.
- Help refine social, interpersonal, and coping skills through the development of respectful relationships.
- Act as a positive role model to foster growth and build trust.
- Support emotional stability during crises and assist in discovering effective coping mechanisms.
- Facilitate daily routines with intentional planning and punctuality.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and plan meaningful programming.
- Document service delivery and behavior-related incidents accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:
