Job Summary

The University System of New Hampshire is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Counselor II-Emergency Coordinator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and contribute to a dynamic and diverse work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, focusing on crisis intervention and stabilization.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement effective crisis response strategies.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotations to ensure timely and effective response to campus crises.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical interactions and consultations.
  • Attend clinical, medical, and administrative staffing meetings to stay informed and contribute to decision-making processes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • Two years of full-time licensed counseling experience in a mental health agency or counseling center.
  • NH License or license eligible as a mental health professional.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialization and/or certification in areas such as LADC, Disordered Eating Specialist, or EMDR.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with or a willingness to learn Titanium, CCAPS, and time management software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion.
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience with students, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
