About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Steward Health Care. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiology procedures as prescribed by physicians, operating diagnostic radiology and film processing equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, medications, and supplies as needed, practicing Morton Hospital Customer Service standards.
  • Apply knowledge and skills in performing routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as diagnostic portable procedures and procedures in the OR.
  • Demonstrate competence in operating film-processing equipment, patient monitoring equipment, and patient transfer/transport equipment.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, verifying correct names, checking patient histories, and verifying correct procedures ordered.
  • Evaluate patient needs to prevent potential problems/complaints.
  • Apply knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
  • Prepare rooms for procedures, ensuring all required equipment is available prior to the start of the exam.
  • Inform patients and family members of progress and/or delays associated with their procedures, providing documented discharge instructions when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography license.
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Documented training and experience in radiography.
  • Documented training and experience in angiography preferred.
