Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Technologist to join our team at Lifespan. As a key member of our imaging services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the operation of imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Performance Improvement and Quality
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of optimal standards in radiology and translate hospital goals into operational practice.
    • Maintain knowledge of current standards in the healthcare industry and recognize when quality is compromised.
    • Collaborate with department directors to set realistic long- and short-term goals consistent with organizational needs and priorities.
  • Budget Awareness and Support
    • Promote staff awareness and education regarding budget process, cost containment, and cost-saving techniques within the department.
    • Maintain awareness of current inventory of supplies and equipment and recognize limitations of departmental budget.
  • Leadership/Management Skills
    • Demonstrate awareness of current departmental needs based on a thorough understanding of day-to-day operations.
    • Serve as a professional role model for all staff and demonstrate working knowledge of current technical and clinical skills.
    • Recognize role as a resource to staff and display ability to identify operational problems and utilize appropriate actions and communications to resolve them.
Requirements
  • BSN preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • 3-5 years of successful nursing experience required.
  • Previous experience in supervision or patient flow process preferred.
  • Excellent ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Knowledge of patient care resources within the organization.
