Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management:
  • Accurately post customer payments into the accounting system, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Reconciliation and Discrepancy Resolution:
  • Regularly reconcile invoices, payments, debits, and credits to maintain the accuracy of financial records, investigating and resolving discrepancies through collaboration with sales, customer service, and trade promotions teams.
  • Account Maintenance:
  • Maintain and summarize customer accounts, verify totals, and prepare detailed financial reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance:
  • Protect sensitive financial and customer information to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Participate in ongoing learning opportunities to stay updated with industry practices and enhance job knowledge, contributing to the improvement of internal processes and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Foster effective communication within the team and with third-party receivable services to ensure smooth operations and achieve shared goals.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and accounting software.
  • Prior experience with customer contact and accounts receivable functions.
Estimated Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
