Job Overview

Position Summary:

  • The Account Executive delivers timely, precise, and professional service to clients, agents, and organizational staff.
  • This role necessitates a proactive mindset and offers substantial support in acquiring, maintaining, enhancing, and servicing our commercial insurance accounts.
  • Manage assigned commercial lines accounts, assisting in the evaluation and quoting processes as necessary.
  • Facilitate the Binding of New & Renewal Coverage - Oversee the processing of Commercial Lines applications and the collection of premiums in accordance with established agency protocols prior to binding any coverage.
  • Organize and maintain client records within the agency management system.
  • Ensure all necessary licenses are current and maintained.
  • Address inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Issue cancellation notifications as needed.
  • Provide service for commercial lines accounts to avert gaps or lapses in coverage, thereby minimizing E&O risks.
  • Occasionally engage with clients to assess and address their insurance requirements.
  • Draft general correspondence as needed for senior management.
  • Keep producers updated on significant developments regarding their accounts, including being alert to potential issues and communicating with management.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • SC P&C Insurance License is preferred.
  • SC Broker License is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in Commercial Lines within an insurance agency setting is preferred.
