Job Summary

AmeriCold Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Regional Engineering Manager to lead our facilities maintenance and engineering efforts. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in maintenance management, leadership, and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Management: Direct and oversee the maintenance of safe, effective, and functional facilities by directing installation, maintenance, repair of equipment and utility systems for refrigerated warehouses.
  • Leadership: Lead, direct, and work with Facility Services Managers in the Region on carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Financial Management: Prepare annual capital and maintenance budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Capital Project Implementation: Support the successful implementation of annual capital projects in the Region.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics, inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards utilizing the CMMS system.
Requirements
  • Education: BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Structural Engineering or related field (desirable but not required).
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years maintenance management and leadership experience with at least 4-5 years' experience scheduling and maintaining a refrigerated warehouse system, material handling, repair, and building maintenance required.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge and skill level with NH3 refrigeration systems; RETA and CIRO/CARO certifications preferred but not required. Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA compliance programs for warehouses using an ammonia refrigeration system required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance: Experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance preferred.
  • Integrity and Judgment: Must maintain a high level of integrity and demonstrate AmeriCold's Core Behaviors.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Possess a strong sense of responsibility, regularly exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate a progressive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
