Job Summary

This role is responsible for completing various processes within Patient Access, including scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance, authorization, and referral validation. The successful candidate will create a positive first impression of AHN's services to patients and families, articulating information in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduling and pre-registration functions, validating patient demographic data and identifying medical benefits.
  • Verify insurance information through payor contacts and provide documentation and follow-up as necessary.
  • Identify patient financial responsibilities, calculate estimates, and collect liabilities.
  • Deliver a positive patient experience and maintain excellent working relationships with patients, staff, and external agencies.
  • Adhere to AHN organizational policies and procedures, completing mandatory training and education sessions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with two years of related experience in a medical or financial services setting.
  • Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
  • Preferred certification with the Healthcare Financial Management Association or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.
