The Financial Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the financial and management reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the designated region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary accounting support for operational locations within the division.
  • Assist with purchasing, inventory management, and resolve transactional issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to the timely and accurate preparation and review of significant financial information for management at various levels.
  • Engage in monthly closing processes, forecast updates, and preparation of capital and operating budgets.
  • Participate in operational benchmarking and conduct monthly performance analyses.
  • Involve in special projects and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests related to sales, purchasing, working capital, and operating expenses.
  • Analyze balance sheet accounts for both plant and division, providing support to managers as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining and evaluating the internal control system, actively participating in self-assessment processes and periodic inventory observations.
  • Perform additional tasks such as journal entries, maintaining product inventory values within SAP, generating payments, coding non-trading cash receipts, and reviewing fixed asset transactions.
  • Contribute to a high-performance management team focused on maximizing EBITDA and return on investment.
  • Train and support division personnel in utilizing CEMEX reporting systems to access essential management information.
  • Travel to business sites as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Preferred certifications include CPA, CMA, or CFM, or strong candidacy for these designations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management; industry experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in financial analysis and special projects is essential.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly SAP and Excel.
  • Current knowledge of the conceptual framework underlying financial accounting.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy and leadership abilities in a team environment.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work effectively both as a team member and independently.

Working Conditions

Ability to work in an open concept office environment, with physical requirements including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing as necessary.
