General Accountabilities

  • Tax Preparation and Review: Assist in the preparation and review of individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Research: Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning and advisory services.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional support to clients by responding to inquiries, resolving tax-related issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Compliance: Ensure all tax filings are completed in a timely manner and comply with federal, state, and local tax laws. Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed records of all tax-related documents and client information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members to deliver comprehensive tax services and contribute to team projects and initiatives. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax preparation and advisory services.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax laws. Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly explain tax concepts and issues to clients and team members.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build positive relationships with clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and changing tax laws.
  • Experience: Internship or prior experience in a tax or accounting role is preferred but not required. Certifications: CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
