Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate surgical appointments for patients
- Arrange ancillary services and diagnostic testing (such as MRI and CT scans)
- Secure insurance approvals for scheduled procedures
- Handle incoming calls related to scheduling and procedures
- Provide guidance to patients regarding their upcoming surgeries and tests
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Basic proficiency in keyboarding
- Understanding of scheduling practices
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a medical office setting with complex scheduling of referrals, tests, or surgeries is preferred
- Primarily sitting (80% of the time)
- Some standing (20% of the time)
- Reaching required (30% of the time)
- Bending involved (20% of the time)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Onsite position
- $16.00 to $21.00 per hour
