PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Function - Welcome and assist travelers in navigating the airport environment. Facilitate the request and dispatch of taxicabs and luxury limousines. Provide essential information to passengers seeking other ground transportation options.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome travelers at the Ground Transportation area and provide accurate assistance or directions.
  • Guide passengers to the appropriate taxi or limousine services.
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of taxicabs is available for passengers and manage their dispatch to various terminal locations.
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers, colleagues, and supervisors to address any operational concerns.
  • Document factual reports regarding any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Order luxury limousines as required and maintain accurate logs of limousine services.
  • Promptly report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including routine cleaning tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment.
  • Familiarity with the local metro area is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in an airport setting is desirable.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential, along with reliable transportation.
Work Availability: Shift requirements may vary based on hiring needs, including potential availability for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Language Proficiency: Must possess excellent reading and writing skills in English. Ability to communicate effectively with passengers, drivers, and colleagues across various socio-economic backgrounds. Capable of comprehending simple instructions and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.

Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions in various formats. Capable of making sound judgments and educating others on policies and procedures.

Other Skills: Ability to execute assigned tasks effectively with minimal supervision and demonstrate fair judgment.

Equipment Used: Two-way radios, various report forms, information logs, brochures, writing instruments.

Physical Demands and Environment: This role requires standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks. Employees will work outdoors in varying weather conditions and must remain safety-conscious in high-traffic areas. Lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs may be necessary. Exposure to high noise levels and vehicle emissions is common.

Compensation: $19.00 base pay | Part-time
