POSITION SUMMARY:

The Penn State School of Public at the University Park campus is seeking an Instructor for a part-time role. This position is a one-semester, non-tenure track appointment with the potential for reappointment. Part-time lecturers typically instruct one section.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching a master's level statistics course or another policy course within the core curriculum of the Master of Public Policy degree.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicants must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Candidates should possess a master's degree in public administration, public policy, mathematics, statistics, data science, economics, political science, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Preference will be given to candidates proficient in the R statistical package.
  • Preference will also be given to candidates with a proven track record of excellence in college-level teaching.
