Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at The Swift Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing requirements, providing direction on design concepts, and reviewing feasibility and realism of systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical requirements and specifications for mechanical systems and equipment
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to project teams and leadership on design concepts and feasibility
  • Conduct risk assessments and integrity evaluations to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate conditions, propose modifications, and develop design changes
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and presentations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
  • BS in mechanical, nuclear, chemical, process/controls, electrical, or computer engineering
  • Experience with evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for mid to large scale components and equipment
  • Proficient in communication, organizational skills, and technical writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in process or instrumentation engineering (programmable logic controllers, microprocessors)
  • Experience with machinery diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensed

Security Clearance:

  • A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required
