Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Sales

At Fortis Fire & Safety Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Sprinkler Sales professional to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling fire sprinkler offerings to General Contractor customers and end users within one of our assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish customer relations and maintain effective communication with customers to ensure their satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Prepare and send quotes to our customers for service and any follow-up impairments.
  • Ability to read blueprints, and understand current NFPA 13, 14, and 20 standards and local codes.
  • Identify customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain and build customer relationships.
  • Establish and maintain contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of fire protection contracts by scheduling calls, follow up on leads, and utilizing strategic marketing strategies.
  • Ability to build new business relationships and grow the fire protection business.
  • Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings and determine proper sprinkler locations for new construction and remodel projects.
  • Travel to customer and job sites as required.
  • Identify testing & inspection opportunities for all different types of fire protection systems.
  • Work with other members of the Sales team to coordinate all types of sales-related activities.
  • Keep detailed activity in CRM system.
  • Promptly respond to customer requests.
  • Adhere to sales plan to achieve established goals and other key performance indicators.
  • Prospect for new customers, perform cold calling, perform site surveys, establish networking opportunities, perform presentations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience selling service contracts in the Fire Protection industry is required.
  • Previous sprinkler design experience including estimating and performing hydraulic calculations is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, and 20 is required.
  • Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspection is required.
  • A valid driver's license and excellent driving record is required.
