Job Summary:The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the proper functioning of fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.
- Identify and document any deficiencies, malfunctions, or violations related to fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems.
- Verify that alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and emergency power systems are operational.
- Test and maintain communication pathways, such as phone lines and communication networks.
- Provide recommendations and reports for necessary repairs and upgrades.
- Stay current with industry advancements and technology related to fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate findings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- NICET Certification
- Reg 4
- Knowledge of appropriate NFPA Codes
$20-$30/hour depending on experience
Physical Requirements:The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand for 8 hours, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
