We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team at Fortis Fire and Safety. As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will be responsible for performing installations, making modifications or repairs to sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installations, modifications, and repairs to sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.
- Conduct site assessments to identify potential hazards and develop plans to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain accurate written and electronic documentation (timesheets, work tickets, inspection reports, etc.).
- Communicate clearly with clients and fellow team members to ensure effective project delivery.
- Solve practical problems and create action plans to address any issues that may arise during project execution.
- Set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of NFPA13, 25, and California Fire Code.
- Proof of high school completion.
- Valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Valid Cal Fire fitter certification.
- Basic understanding of measurements.
- Ability to read and understand inspection reports, product specification sheets, O&M manuals, drawings, blueprints, and fire codes.
- Complete knowledge of operating various electrical and mechanical tools such as saws, wrenches, cutting torches, drills, pipe threaders, lifts, ladders, and motor vehicles.
- Ability to adhere to safety practices and maintain a safe working environment.
- Able to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license and evidence of insurability.
- Complete knowledge of how to safely operate a pipe threading machine.
The compensation for this role is $30-$33 per hour.
