Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm & Security Technician to join our team at Summit Fire & Security. As a key member of our installation workforce, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing fire alarm and security systems, as well as other fire and life safety products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test fire alarm and security systems to ensure they meet industry standards and codes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with fire alarm and security systems, including ground faults and system malfunctions.
  • Program and configure fire alarm systems using various software and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, as well as offsite monitoring companies, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, codes, and standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; NICET or state-specific certification preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in the fire life safety industry, specifically in fire alarm, required.
  • NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification required.
  • 2 years of professional computer skills, preferred.
