Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and implement relevant security directives, regulations, and guidelines to effectively fulfill security duties.
  • Ensure that sensitive information is accurately accounted for, securely transmitted, and properly safeguarded.
  • Oversee the destruction of sensitive materials through authorized methods.
  • Control the dissemination of sensitive information to authorized personnel only, ensuring a clear need-to-know basis.
  • Investigate security breaches and provide recommendations to senior security officials, preparing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure cohesive security operations.
  • Conduct assessments of personnel security, physical security, and technical security measures.
  • Deliver security awareness training as mandated by regulations and requested by management.
  • Manage all aspects of the personnel security program, including interviews, validation of access requirements, and conducting security briefings.
  • Act as the primary contact for certifying and processing visitor clearances.
  • Maintain accurate records in the personnel adjudication system to reflect all personnel within the organization.
  • Assist in processing security eligibility requests and managing derogatory information related to personnel security.
  • Support the physical security of facilities, ensuring compliance with established security standards and preparing necessary accreditation documentation.
  • Ensure that facilities conduct regular self-assessments of their security programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for degree).
  • At least 4 years of full-time experience in security disciplines, particularly in personnel and physical security.
  • Completion of formal security certification training within the last five years.
  • Ability to work independently and possess a thorough understanding of security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant directives and regulations governing security operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess information and make informed decisions regarding security matters.
