The ideal candidate will have a strong awareness of web and application security, as well as data traffic flow control. They will be responsible for participating in the development and support of customer technical requirements, championing a collaborative team-based environment, and planning, designing, developing, implementing, and operating F5 products.

The F5 Security Engineer will also be responsible for managing the configuration of multiple physical and virtual F5 devices across multiple data centers, developing scripts and tools to automate configuration, and proposing and implementing system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and support of customer technical requirements
  • Champion a collaborative team-based environment
  • Plan, design, develop, implement, and operate F5 products
  • Manage the configuration of multiple physical and virtual F5 devices
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate configuration
  • Propose and implement system enhancements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant F5 experience
  • Extensive experience with F5 Operations and Engineering
  • Strong understanding of data networking, application development, and security teams
  • Strong awareness of web and application security
  • Ability to handle multiple complex F5 configurations and deployments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • F5 400-level certification
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, telecommunications, or an engineering-focused field
  • Experience with Python and APIs
