Technical Support Position at The Upper Deck Company

OVERVIEW

Become a vital member of the IT department at The Upper Deck Company as a Technical Support Specialist. This position is focused on diagnosing and resolving hardware and software challenges for user systems, both in-person and remotely. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of both Windows and Mac operating systems, fundamental networking principles, and Microsoft software applications. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication abilities are crucial for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proficient in troubleshooting both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for reported IT challenges.
  • Manage help desk tickets and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Accountable for issue resolution, onboarding new employees, and deploying equipment.
  • Provide both on-site and remote assistance through phone or remote access.
  • Conduct timely updates for hardware and software enhancements.
  • Install, configure, and test workstation hardware components.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Document and follow up on issue resolutions.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

COLLABORATION

This position requires close cooperation with the IT Director, team members, project stakeholders, and both internal and external resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred A+ certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and networking.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware and software.
