Quality Control Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team at Harvest Technical Services, Inc. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and quality of our pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and assess a variety of assays within the Quality Control sector, supporting the testing of in-process intermediates, drug substances, drug products, and stability samples in a compliant cGMP environment.
- Utilize biochemical assays and advanced analytical techniques, including high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry.
- Interpret data effectively, troubleshoot assay failures, and resolve equipment issues while adhering to stringent cGMP documentation standards.
- Assist in cycle development, performance qualifications, method transfers, and investigations of discrepancies or out-of-specification results.
- Collaborate with external teams to identify and implement improvements in technology and business processes.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain a state of inspection readiness.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including glassware washers and autoclaves.
- Manage multiple priorities independently with minimal guidance.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and water sampling as required.
- Support departmental functions by assisting customers and participating in cross-functional initiatives.
- Apply scientific principles to address moderately complex challenges.
- Foster effective interdepartmental partnerships to resolve quality issues.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) within the department.
- Sign documents as authorized per company policies and procedures.
- Exhibit accountability for behaviors aligned with the company’s core competencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field, with 2-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Practical laboratory experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC and mass spectrometry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to organize and present information effectively.
- Proven ability to apply scientific knowledge in analytical or biological testing procedures.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work under moderate supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Work is conducted in both office and laboratory settings.
- Physical demands may include lifting up to 25 lbs and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
The compensation for this position is competitive and will be determined based on internal equity, geographic region, and the candidate's qualifications.
