Position Overview:
The Quality Manager will oversee all quality assurance functions within our cabinetry manufacturing facility. This role involves developing and executing quality control protocols, monitoring production workflows, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering top-notch quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement robust quality control processes to guarantee the consistent production of high-quality cabinetry.
- Establish and uphold quality standards, specifications, and inspection criteria for materials and finished goods.
- Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing necessary training and support to meet quality objectives.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance.
- Address quality issues, nonconformities, and customer feedback promptly, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle quality-related challenges and promote continuous improvement.
- Monitor quality-related KPIs, analyzing data trends to identify process optimization opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, conducting evaluations to ensure material quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality management, integrating relevant advancements into our processes.
- Encourage a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization, promoting teamwork and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or management within a manufacturing context, particularly in woodworking or cabinetry.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management principles and methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a quality-focused team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Experience with quality management systems and auditing processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques for quality enhancement.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Certification as a Quality Manager (CQM) or Quality Engineer (CQE) is advantageous.
