Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Business Operations Associate to provide administrative support to our Utilization Management Department. The ideal candidate will have previous clerical experience, preferably in a managed care or medical management environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Assist with the denial, appeal, and complaint process by typing, mailing, and logging letters.">
  • Generate reporting data for health plans regarding denials, appeals, and complaints on a monthly basis.">
  • Maintain a filing system for denials, appeals, and complaints.">
  • Accept incoming calls, screen or resolve them in accordance with plan design and authorization requirements.">
  • Enter authorizations for services as delegated by assignment.">
  • Run and distribute reports from VBA databases, including authorization letters, daily authorization reports sent to health plans, and monthly statistical reports for management.">
  • Create and design forms and reports as needed.">
  • Maintain UM Committee minutes and update UM Policy & Procedures as needed.">

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.">
  • Previous clerical experience, preferably in a managed care or medical management environment.">
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and medical terminology.">
  • Strong skill with operating PC and using word processing and spreadsheet software applications.">
