Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Pratum Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities and common areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
  • Ensure the heating and plumbing systems are functioning properly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Respond to emergency situations and follow safety protocols.
  • Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed.
  • Undertake pest control activities as required.

Requirements

  • HVAC certification.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience in general apartment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failure.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience

A minimum of three years' experience as a residential property management maintenance technician. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. EPA technician certification required.

Attendance and Travel Requirements

The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. Due to property staffing limitations, it is essential that individuals be able to work their scheduled hours on a consistent basis and, if necessary, overtime hours when requested. Travel may be required at times to attend various owner gatherings or resident events.
