Job Summary

California Head & Neck Specialists is seeking a skilled Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our audiology department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the auditory health and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Hearing Assessments: Utilize advanced audiometric equipment to evaluate patients' hearing abilities and needs, providing a thorough understanding of their auditory health.
  • Communicate Effectively with Patients: Gather medical history, lifestyle, and hearing concerns through empathetic and understanding communication, ensuring a comfortable and supportive experience for our patients.
  • Interpret Hearing Test Results: Collaborate with audiologists and healthcare teams to determine the type and degree of hearing loss, providing accurate and reliable information for treatment planning.
  • Recommend Personalized Hearing Solutions: Offer tailored recommendations for hearing aid solutions, assistive listening devices, and other hearing-related products, ensuring optimal comfort and functionality for our patients.
  • Provide Ongoing Support and Education: Conduct hearing aid fittings, adjustments, and follow-up appointments, providing patients with the knowledge and support needed to manage their hearing health effectively.
  • Counsel and Support Patients: Address emotional and psychological aspects related to hearing loss, offering guidance and support to patients and their families.
  • Stay Current with Industry Advancements: Maintain knowledge of the latest advancements in hearing aid technology, accessories, and assistive devices, ensuring our patients receive the best possible solutions.
  • Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards by maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with audiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for our patients.
  • Promote Practice Services: Provide excellent customer service and effective communication to promote our practice's services and build relationships with potential and existing patients.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in hearing science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Licensure as a Hearing Aid Dispenser in the State of California, or the ability to obtain such licensure by time of appointment.
