About the Department

Join the Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx) team, which is dedicated to overseeing significant expansion initiatives within sterile production, solid dosage forms, finished products, warehousing, and quality control across all production sectors in Product Supply. This division is a key component of Product Supply, Quality & IT, employing approximately 20,000 of BioSpace, Inc.'s workforce.

FFEx is a newly formed and expanding sector responsible for designing, planning, and constructing new sterile filling capabilities to meet the demands of countless patients. The Role

Assist in the development of a strategic vision for the automation IT system platform, ensuring alignment with IT infrastructure components and global IT solutions. The incumbent will coordinate and drive the implementation of automation technologies and solutions for new production equipment and warehousing systems. Additionally, the role involves identifying departmental competencies and process gaps and supporting the development of methods to address these gaps.

Define and manage the automation system platformSupport the management of the project roadmapFacilitate vendor and supplier relationshipsCoordinate with System Administrators, IT, and Global supportEngage with internal departments to align requirementsCollaborate with vendors and external service providersEstablish and maintain local standards, including user/technical specifications, operating procedures, validation approaches, and maintenance plansDevelop strategies to maintain and enhance process automation systemsCoach, train, and mentor peers and stakeholdersEvaluate new projects and initiatives for automation impact, scope, cost, and resource requirementsUtilize advanced cLEAN tools in problem-solving, project management, and change managementManage quality expectations and ensure system complianceAdhere to all safety and environmental regulations in performing dutiesOther responsibilities as assignedPhysical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with potential distractions. Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceConsideration may be given to candidates with an associate's degree in engineering or a related field and 10 years of pharmaceutical automation experienceHigh School Diploma/GED with 12 years of pharmaceutical automation experience may also be consideredA minimum of eight years of pharmaceutical automation experience is requiredRelevant technical knowledge and experience in automation technology and solutions are essentialAbility to drive process solutions through proactive collaboration with a diverse range of project stakeholders and BioSpace, Inc. automation/IT stakeholders is preferredExperience with historians is preferredExperience with PLCs or other controllers and field devices is requiredExperience working with external engineering consultants is preferredStrong leadership and project management skills are preferredEffective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of operations and management are requiredProven expertise in project management, planning, organization, execution, follow-up, and completion is preferredExcellent problem-solving abilities are preferredInitiative to translate high-level direction into actionable tasks that yield results using cLEAN/Six Sigma methodologies is preferredBioSpace, Inc. is committed to an inclusive recruitment process and equal opportunity for all applicants.
