Role Summary:
The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting all daily operations within the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. The role involves adhering to company policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Maintain accurate records, including cash handling and waste disposal logs
  • Participate in daily team meetings to align on goals and messaging
  • Deliver compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments

Training & Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a friendly and supportive greeting, making every interaction positive.
  • Maintain proficiency in HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Stay updated on inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and local regulations.
  • Review and enhance patient educational materials.
  • Participate in quarterly team development meetings.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and best practices with team members to meet objectives.
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge.
  • Engage in daily team meetings to ensure consistent messaging and goals.
  • Provide exceptional and compassionate patient service.

  • Build relationships with community stakeholders and earn trust from neighbors.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage; POS experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including general office environments and exposure to different elements.
