Role Summary:
The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is accountable for supporting all daily functions of the dispensary, being part of a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. The Associate will uphold the policies and procedures of iAnthus while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and email communication
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients are welcomed with a helpful and compassionate demeanor
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Be proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain current knowledge of products and appropriate dosages
  • Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and legal regulations
  • Review and update educational materials for patients
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings for continuous improvement

Sales and Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and best practices to meet targets with team members
  • Be trained in patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Engage in brief meetings at the start of each shift to ensure consistency
  • Provide exceptional and compassionate patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment is preferred
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities
  • Computer literacy is required; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check as per applicable guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to different elements
