Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consistently attend work punctually.
  • Maintain a positive reputation through effective interpersonal relations with colleagues, supervisors, and patients.
  • Room patients efficiently, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while supporting timely provider visits.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team to facilitate smooth patient care processes.
  • Accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, height, oxygen saturation, and pulse.
  • Review and verify patient medications and allergies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform intake functions and document patient complaints in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
  • Provide necessary informational forms to patients during chart preparation.
  • Assist with patient discharge by providing after-visit summaries.
  • Complete room turnover processes, including cleaning and restocking.
  • Stock examination rooms and notify supply personnel when items are low.
  • Complete daily tasks and phone calls as directed by supervisors.
  • Perform EKGs, injections, and vaccinations under supervision.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent; Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited institution preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of recent experience in a medical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Caregiver, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is preferred. Experience with EKGs, vital signs, venipuncture, and injections is advantageous.

Other Requirements:
Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire. Up-to-date health records with necessary immunizations for healthcare work.
