Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Delivery Specialist to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. As a Concrete Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a large concrete truck in various settings, delivering high-quality concrete to customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Concrete to Customers: Safely and efficiently transport concrete to customers in a timely and customer-focused manner.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Work closely with customers on site to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and achieve excellent customer service ratings.
  • Inspect Concrete Mix: Visually inspect concrete mix for correct slump and constituents to ensure high-quality concrete delivery.
  • Collaborate with Dispatch Team: Work closely with the dispatch team to ensure the quickest and safest route to jobs, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity.
  • Maintain Vehicle and Equipment: Maintain the vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe fashion, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Must have a current Commercial Class B driver's license with airbrakes. Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. will assist veterans in acquiring their CDL.
  • Safe Driving Record: Possess a safe driving record with no serious moving violations within the past 36 months and no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to read a map, understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions, and communicate effectively with customers and dispatch team.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit, and shift gears.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and nights, and adapt to changing weather conditions and job requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Ready-Mix or Heavy Construction: 2+ years of commercial driving experience in the ready-mix or heavy construction industries.
  • DOT Medical Certificate: Possession of a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate is a plus.
