Ultrasound Technologist PRN

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing patients, collecting relevant information, and performing sonographic exams following defined protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
- Collect relevant information from patients, including medical history and any relevant symptoms.
- Perform sonographic exams using high-quality equipment and following established protocols.
- Observe patients' conditions during the exam and notify the physician of any unusual occurrences.
- Compile accurate records of exam results and forward them to the radiologist for interpretation.
- Take call after regular hours to meet department needs.
- Two to three years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer, including two-plus years of experience in a hospital.
- ARDMS or ARRT Registered.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
