Ultrasound Technician PRN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will be responsible for preparing patients, collecting relevant information, and performing sonographic exams following defined protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Collect relevant patient information, including medical history and current symptoms, to ensure accurate and effective treatment.
  • Perform sonographic exams using high-quality imaging equipment, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Observe patients' conditions during the exam and notify physicians of any unusual occurrences.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records of patient information and exam results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Two to three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer, including two-plus years in a hospital setting.
  • ARDMS or ARRT registration.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
