Job Description Summary

BD is a global medical technology company that is committed to advancing the world of health. As a Director of US Region Marketing, you will play a critical role in supporting revenue and margin growth of ~$10B in combined US Region (USR) products and services.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive ONE BD value offers and solutions to drive revenue and margin growth. This will involve working closely with the Strategic Customer Group (SCG), Business Unit (BU) marketing teams, and USR Marketing functions to ensure short and long-term growth objectives for the USR.


  • Develop content and communications across USR Marketing functions and strategies
  • Assess and address clinical solutions, training, and education needs
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives, including account-based marketing and lead management
  • Oversee trade shows and events, including themes and content
  • Develop and implement pricing and contracting strategies
  • Manage value offers, including cross-BU and HOB management
  • Consolidate USR market insights and develop strategic implications
  • Support brand sentiment work, including NPS coordination with SCG
  • Partner with SCG on marketing support and needs
  • Execute against strategic planning, including annual marketing plans and ASR development

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A BS/BA in Business, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant marketing experience in medical device and/or Life Science market
  • A minimum of 3 years of marketing management experience, leading others in marketing
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams
  • Sales experience is preferred
  • A track record of achievement in delivering large and/or multiple projects and influencing business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement commercial strategies and convert them into tactical marketing plans
  • Solid business acumen and knowledge of clinical and/or laboratory market environment
  • Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to make decisions, even in the absence of consensus when necessary
  • Creative out-of-the-box thinking and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, advisory boards, and potential or existing business partners
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set a vision, lead change, and motivate others
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities
