Director, US Region Marketing

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, US Region Marketing to support revenue and margin growth of $10B in combined US Region (USR) products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive ONE BD value offers and solutions to drive revenue and margin growth.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Customer Group (SCG), Business Unit (BU) marketing teams, and USR Marketing functions to ensure short and long-term growth objectives for the USR.
  • Oversee USR strategic content and customer-related needs across USR marketing functions and business partners.
  • Develop content and communications across USR Marketing functions and strategies, including Clinical Solutions, Digital, Trade shows & events, Pricing & Contracting, and Value Offers.
  • Consolidate USR market insights, including market trends, market data, and US Region WAMGR, to define strategic implications and determine underlying market growth for the USR.
  • Support brand sentiment work, including NPS (net-promotor score), and coordinate with SCG on strategic implications.
  • Partner and execute with SCG on marketing support and needs broadly spanning all SCG functions.
  • Execute against strategic planning, including annual marketing plans and ASR development.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Business, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline. MBA desirable.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant Marketing experience in medical device and/or Life Science market.
  • Demonstrated success in customer-centric communication, collaborative strategic planning, and omnichannel engagement.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Marketing Management, leading others in Marketing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams.
  • Sales experience is preferred.
  • Track record of achievement in delivering large and/or multiple projects and influencing business outcomes.
  • Solid business acumen and knowledge of clinical and/or laboratory market environment.
  • Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to make decisions, even in the absence of consensus when necessary.
  • Creative out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, advisory boards, and potential or existing business partners.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, lead change, and to motivate others.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
