As a caregiver at Swedish Health Services, you will utilize your specialized expertise to provide exceptional healthcare with a personal touch, making a meaningful impact every day through your outstanding care.

  • Nursing Practice: Conducts assessments, identifies suitable nursing diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Develops, updates, and coordinates the patient's care plan to achieve patient objectives and optimize outcomes across the care continuum. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient conditions as necessary. Maintains essential competencies as required by specific areas of hire and populations served.
  • Advocacy: Effectively advocates for ethical and holistic care by collaborating in care planning to uphold the autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of those we serve.
  • Learning Facilitation: Promotes a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members, including students; facilitates both formal and informal learning opportunities.
  • Safety and Quality Alignment: Accountable for safety, identifies and rectifies issues, and integrates evidence and best practices into nursing care; utilizes data and evidence to enhance patient outcomes. Balances patient safety, self-safety, and environmental safety as equally critical for optimal results.
  • Professional Development: Engages in continuous professional growth; practices within the legal parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Social Policy Statement, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and specialty standards. Encourages a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates, and disseminates research and evidence-based practices.
  • Leadership: Leads and coordinates teams, appropriately delegates tasks, collaborates with others as equal members of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge. Exemplifies professional behaviors as a representative of the nursing profession.

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Certification in the area of specialty upon hire
