The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in a critical care setting. You will be accountable for providing coordinated, safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care tailored to the individual needs of patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey. Adherence to the Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, and the ANA standards of practice is essential. Specific skills and key responsibilities are outlined in the unit-specific onboarding checklist and specialty standards.

- Nursing Professional Practice: Assess, identify nursing diagnoses, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Develop and coordinate care plans to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes. Monitor and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
- Advocacy: Champion ethical and holistic care by collaborating in care planning to uphold the autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of those we serve.
- Facilitation of Learning: Create a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members, including students; facilitate both formal and informal learning opportunities.
- Safety and Quality Alignment: Take responsibility for safety, identify and rectify issues, and integrate evidence-based practices into nursing care; utilize data to enhance patient outcomes.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional growth; practice within the legal framework of the Nurse Practice Act and promote a culture of inquiry that explores and disseminates research and evidence-based practices.
- Leadership: Lead and coordinate teams, delegate appropriately, and collaborate with other professionals as equal members of the inter-professional care team.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Certification in the area of specialty upon hire, unless otherwise specified.
