Job Summary

Champions for Children, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning and conducting developmental playgroups with young children, promoting positive adult/child interactions, and providing child development education to caregivers.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working with families and children, a Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct developmental playgroups with young children, promoting positive adult/child interactions and child development education.
  • Provide child development screening to parents and caregivers, identifying potential developmental concerns and making appropriate referrals.
  • Manage participant registration, data collection, and reporting to support program requirements.
  • Participate in outreach and engagement services, special events, and staff meetings as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with families and children.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
