Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement therapeutic play experiences to promote normal life patterns and prevent developmental disruption.
  • Provide guidance and support to volunteers and students, ensuring a positive and educational experience.
  • Act as an advocate for children and their families, utilizing your knowledge of child development to enhance the hospital environment.
  • Implement a psychosocially and developmentally supportive program for hospitalized children and families.
  • Interpret children's perceptions of their diagnosis and treatment through play and other forms of communication.
Requirements
  • CCLS (Child Life Certification)
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Recreational Therapy, or Psychology
  • Completion of a Child Life Internship
