Position: Industrial Process Engineer

Location: Tucson, AZ

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Compensation: $30 - $42/hr. on W2

Job Overview:

The primary role of an industrial process engineer is to utilize engineering principles and theories to address challenges related to industrial layouts and manufacturing processes. A typical industrial process engineer is skilled in creating engineering drawings and interpreting blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:


• Analyze time, motion, methods, and speeds involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and enhance efficiency.


• Examine worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification documents to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.


• Approve work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and potential delays.


• Assess charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.


• Evaluate data and reports to confirm or identify deviations from established standards.


• Suggest modifications to current quality or production standards to achieve optimal quality within the constraints of equipment capabilities.


• Recommend changes to operational methods, material handling, equipment layout, or other processes to boost production or enhance standards.

• Familiarity with engineering-related computer applications and software, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Education and Experience:


• A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.


• A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience is necessary.
