Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems.
  • Integrate automation solutions with business systems, primarily utilizing Ignition.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to drive innovation and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Utilize your expertise in controls engineering to identify and implement new automation opportunities.
  • Quantify business value and present findings to leadership, coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, systems engineering, or automation engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming Fanuc Robots and Rockwell PLCs.
  • Experience with automation mechanisms, controls, and troubleshooting.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Experience with I4.0 principles and Smart Factory technologies.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD for design purposes.
  • Knowledge of machine vision systems and control system design.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various levels of the organization.
