Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead our Semiconductor Packaging Assembly efforts. This role is crucial for ensuring that our manufacturing processes are stable, efficient, and yield high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and continuous enhancement of manufacturing processes in collaboration with Device and Integration Engineering and design teams.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management, setting clear goals and responsibilities.
  • Engage and inspire engineering talent while defining deliverables and planning resources.
  • Monitor and control manufacturing processes to enhance yield, capacity, and quality.
  • Conduct operational studies to optimize workflow and space utilization, ensuring efficiency and safety in the workplace.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Management of Back End Process operations.
  • Ensuring successful transfer of processes and products from development to production.
  • Establishing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators aligned with customer needs.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and employee involvement in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Providing coaching and development planning to retain key personnel.
  • Preparing operating budgets and focusing on cost control and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Leading engineering activities to enhance final assembly processes, including documentation and training.
  • Implementing effective process monitoring and continuous improvement programs.
  • Utilizing statistical tools for yield reporting and maintaining work standards.
  • Collaborating with supply chain management to optimize inventory and raw material usage.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience. A strong background in semiconductor processing, particularly in cleanroom environments, is essential.

Preferred qualifications include experience in the semiconductor industry, particularly in areas such as oven operations, wire bonding, and new product introduction. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills are required, along with proficiency in statistical software and project management.

This position requires a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of quality systems, reliability assessment, and lean manufacturing principles will be advantageous.
