Propulsion Manufacturing Process Engineer

At SpaceX, we are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team in the development and operation of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility for satellite propulsion systems.

This individual will be responsible for partnering with our development teams to ensure the capability to quickly turn around high-quality, high-precision components for our satellite program.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in process development and management, with experience in complex processes such as high-tolerance laser welding, ceramic to metallic vacuum brazing, and manufacturing of composite pressure vessels.

Key responsibilities will include collaborating with design engineers to design components and processes, capturing component and process specifications, and developing process control documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in engineering and 5+ years of experience in process development and management.

Preferred skills and experience include proficiency in process control techniques, Lean / Six Sigma training, and experience setting up and operating state-of-the-art process equipment.

Additional requirements include the ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed, and to travel for short and extended trips.
