Assistant Vice President of Public Housing Maintenance

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management of public housing maintenance operations. The Assistant Vice President of Public Housing Maintenance will oversee the maintenance administration of multiple public housing communities, ensuring compliance with maintenance management policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise subordinate maintenance staff to ensure effective operations and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Administer RRHA programs to ensure proper maintenance management of communities and maintain security of properties.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, promoting a positive image of RRHA and community management.
- Oversee the maintenance administration of a zone of multiple public housing communities, planning and implementing actions to ensure the zone conforms to strategic and operational plans for public housing.
- Coordinate and submit a zone budget, and ensure that staff follow administrative policies and procedures.
- Manage the formulation and implementation of operational objectives and strategies for the assigned public housing maintenance group.
- Coordinate the maintenance functions for the community zone, maintaining current knowledge of HUD maintenance management rules, regulations, and policies.
- Establish and implement maintenance management programs and projects, auditing financial practices to determine compliance with regulations and organization policy.
- Collect, compile, format, prepare, and submit documents and reports on maintenance management performance.
- Communicate maintenance management initiatives, plan, develop, and conduct presentations on maintenance management training.
- Advise and guide subordinate staff on maintenance management matters, serving as a liaison between RRHA and other organizations on maintenance management matters.
- Manage the public housing real property portfolio for the assigned zone, coordinating with Senior-level staff regarding properties to be disposed.
- Supervise subordinate managerial staff to ensure effective community operations, performing a full range of supervisory activities.
- Administer RRHA programs to ensure proper maintenance of communities, implementing, monitoring, and assuring RRHA iACT standards are upheld.
- Coordinate activities with the Operations Zone Manager to ensure clean, safe, and maintained residential units, completion of unit for occupancy, organization of all move-ins, move-outs, and transfer.
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or related discipline or field.
- A minimum of nine years of progressively responsible experience in public and/or assisted housing and financial operations, with three years of progressively responsible management experience.
- Detail-Oriented, good attendance and punctuality, organizational skills, strong writer, good telephone and in-person manner and disposition, dependable, and teachable.
