About the Role

The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors and be responsible for:

  • Leadership and innovation in strategic planning
  • Ensuring proper board governance practices
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with affordable housing developers
  • Grant writing and fundraising
  • Safeguarding the physical and financial well-being of the organization

Key Responsibilities

The CEO will:

  • Represent EngAGE's interests to its constituencies
  • Oversee the administration of the budget, programs, and staff
  • Ensure the organization has the appropriate structures and resources to meet its annual goals
  • Be a passionate advocate and spokesperson for intentionally designed affordable housing, arts-based programming, and intergenerational community building
  • Articulate and promote a compelling strategic vision that unites the organization and galvanizes stakeholders, developer partners, and funders

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five years of top executive-level leadership experience
  • A minimum of five years of grant writing experience and demonstrated fundraising skills
  • An understanding of EngAGE's mission and values
  • Willingness to travel in California and Oregon to visit communities and meet with developers
