Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Loan Officer to join our team at Waterbury CT Teachers Federal Credit Union. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members by answering their inquiries, explaining loan programs, and recommending appropriate lending options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to members by answering their inquiries and addressing their concerns.
  • Explain loan programs and options available to members, including credit union products and services.
  • Interview members to determine their borrowing needs and recommend appropriate loan options.
  • Order and review credit checks to determine credit risk and assign rates.
  • Prepare and review loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan files on our database.
  • Adhere to Credit Union Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Quality results mindset with strong analytical and judgment skills.
  • Positive attitude and a desire to work in a team environment.
