Responsibilities:
  • Schedule surgeries and handle calls from physician's offices to confirm patient information and surgery details.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform pre-registration and obtain authorization from physician's offices prior to surgery.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs for cancelled appointments and patient information.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including photocopying, mailing, and faxing documents.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in healthcare, with a minimum of one year in surgery scheduling procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities.
