Global Studies Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage all aspects of the studies abroad and field studies programs within Grady College. The successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for students interested in Grady Study Away programs and assist the associate dean for academic affairs in program planning and coordination at the university level.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all College global study, field study, and internship program proposals/re-approvals.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all students interested in Grady Study Away programs.
- Assist associate dean for academic affairs as the liaison to OGE and OVPI for program planning and coordination at the university level.
- Review and discuss various study abroad and field studies program timelines with faculty/directors/dept. heads.
- Serve on the Grady College Global Committee as the study away representative.
- Manage and coordinate all program information sessions each Fall with program faculty/directors.
- Manage and coordinate all orientation sessions in Spring.
- Assist with the annual OGE/UGA Study Away Fair (Fall & Spring) and other recruitment events.
- Manage the scholarship application process for travel study abroad, field study and experiential learning opportunities.
- Monitor student deposits.
- Obtain insurance cards for all study abroad participants through OGE.
- Confirm student registration (PODs) and payments received prior to departure.
- Manage legal documents such as waivers, MOUs and program agreements.
- Assist with student VISAs when needed.
- Answer questions for students related to study abroad, field study, internship, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Maintain program files for audit and historical review.
- May travel and assist with programs as needed.
- Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task while operating on a tight deadline.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Well organized.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Independence (who takes the initiative to address the needs of the program and directors).
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
