Lead Product Strategist in AI and Material Science

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the exploration of innovative materials and chemicals across diverse sectors, including advanced computing, education, manufacturing, and agriculture. We are in search of a Senior Product Manager who will spearhead the creation of products and functionalities that integrate Generative AI and AI/ML methodologies to enhance and streamline the discovery and design of new molecules for applications such as high-efficiency batteries, renewable energy solutions, and sustainable polymers.

The Product Manager will collaborate with software engineers, hardware developers, and research scientists to facilitate a variety of applications and workflows that merge AI with simulation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate product features, capabilities, value propositions, positioning, and strategic roadmap informed by market research and customer insights.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to establish requirements, set priorities, and ensure integration with complementary software products.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and create marketing materials for product launches, including blogs, webinars, public relations, and sales support.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and offerings to identify potential early-access customers and partnership opportunities.
  • Engage in workshops and conferences to present findings and insights.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or a related discipline (Ph.D. preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency and experience with chemistry and material science simulation tools, as well as AI and scientific computing applications.
  • Over 8 years in a technical product leadership role within a technology organization, focusing on software and library delivery.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary processor technologies, particularly GPUs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across various functions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional communication skills to convey value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing chemistry or material science applications using C/C++, Fortran, or Python.
  • Background in creating chemistry/materials simulation software, designing machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIP), or applying generative AI in chemistry/material science.
  • General knowledge of scientific computing and computer architectures.
  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving and creating user-friendly products.
