About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide diversified administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling physicals, coordinating new hire referencing, and maintaining personnel records.
  • Employment Process Support: Assist with all phases of the employment process, including applicant onboarding, benefit administration, and employee relations/communications tasks.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Provide backup support for payroll-related tasks, including Kronos administration, and handle administrative aspects of leave program administration (STD, LTD, and FMLA).
  • Employee Communications: Assist with miscellaneous HR activities, including employee presentations and communications.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree, with a strong preference for an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Three or more years of relevant HR administrative work experience.
  • Skills: Excellent computer skills, including word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software. Prior experience with Taleo, PeopleSoft, and Kronos software is strongly preferred.
  • Interpersonal and Organizational Skills: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary, with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and prioritize tasks independently.
